Cushendall weekend 2011

Cushendall Sailing and Boating Club turned out in force and our members pulled out all the stops to provide hospitality on the Friday evening and Saturday lunchtime.
The racing on Saturday afternoon saw 15 yachts cross the start line with a fresh southerly breeze and a determination to win. The race had a number of the usual kind of spinnaker mishaps and excitement and was probably the most enjoyable race of the season.
Whilst Jochr and Stargazer came a credible 2nd and 4th against the faster Antrim boats ultimately CSBC won the overall North Channel Trophy.
Aurora from CSBC won the new perpetual trophy, donated by Campbeltown Sailing Club to celebrate the 40th Anniversary link between the two clubs.
