Club Moorings
Thanks to a lot of hard work by John Mactaggart and others, the club has 20 well founded mooring buoys situated in Campbeltown loch just off the clubhouse slipway. These are available to members:
Guidelines for annual Mooring Allocation
Campbeltown Sailing Club moorings are an excellent club facility and as such must be allocated fairly and appropriately to members of the Sailing Club who apply for one.
Mooring allocation will be a committee decision. Committee decision will be final.
Moorings will be allocated first and foremost to those members who have been (or currently are) active in, and contribute to, the sailing club.
It is anticipated this category will be the majority of those applying.
Consideration will be given to previous non- usage of a mooring by a member.
If a member no longer requires the mooring they have been allocated they must inform the committee. A member cannot sub-let a mooring.
If the application for moorings is oversubscribed those members who do not actively contribute to the sailing club may be involved in a ballot.
Not everyone who applies will automatically be successful in obtaining a mooring.
The aim is to ensure that all moorings are used and not lying empty.
Adopted by the Campbeltown Sailing Club Committee April 2010.
